For five years, Marine First Sergeant Brooke Campbell fought on the front lines of World War Three. Now she’s back home in Washington state, and all she wants is time to reconnect with her daughter, Hannah.

The war has other ideas. On the morning of April 28, 2062, the United States is attacked with an electromagnetic pulse. Brooke is ready for disaster, and she has a plan to survive, but an EMP is just the beginning. World War Three is about to end in a storm of nuclear fire.

Brooke will have to become a defender yet again, protecting her daughter, her ex-husband, and his new family from radioactive fallout, hordes of refugees, and violent opportunists. It won’t be easy. This new, post-nuclear world will force Brooke to question her morals and do the one thing she did too often during the war: kill.
